Real Talk: Focus Group with Emory University + Georgia Tech for their Cognitive Empowerment Program for MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment)
Mild Cognitive Impairment Focus Group
The wisdom from older adults is priceless.
Our Happy Talks team had the opportunity to talk with over 30 older adults and their family members thanks to Emory University and Georgia Tech's Cognitive Empowerment Program for MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment).
The program aims to provide people with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and their Care Partners and families an opportunity to participate in comprehensive lifestyle programs that promote joy, purpose, health, and wellness.
Members of the program will receive personalized assessments and goal setting sessions designed to empower them as they seek to implement healthy brain interventions.
We listened to their stories and gained valuable insight on what their friends and families are going through when it comes to loneliness.
Thank you to the Emory and Georgia Tech for the opportunity. Not only did we learn about what messaging would resonate with an adult child signing their parent up for Happy Talks, we understood how our companionship calls can make a difference at this stage.
This is another reason why I just love Atlanta.
The opportunities to learn and grow never cease to amaze me.
Noticing slight memory problems and live in the Atlanta metro?
